Please join us on Wednesday April 8th for Northern Nevada's luncheon

We will be joined by Alicia Reban, Executive Director Nevada Land Trust, who will share her story of helping to create Nevada's first independent conservation land trust nearly 30 years ago, discuss NLT's current land and water protection initiatives, and reflect on present day challenges and opportunities.

Alicia Reban has served as Nevada Land Trust’s (NLT) executive director since helping create the organization in 1997-1998. During her nearly 30-year tenure, NLT has achieved national land trust accreditation and protected over 70,000 acres of land and associated water rights across the state to safeguard Nevada’s wildlife, water, recreation, history, and working agricultural lands.

Alicia is equally at home casting a fly into the Truckee River as she is working with landowners and multiple agency and community partners to advance complex conservation projects on private land. She serves on the boards of the Great Basin National Park Foundation and One Truckee River. Alicia and her husband live in the Reno area, have two college-aged children, and head outdoors at any chance they get.

Nevada Land Trust is a nationally accredited nonprofit conservation land trust working collaboratively with landowners and communities across Nevada to protect important wildlife habitat, secure recreation access, and preserve historic and cultural sites, as well as to sustain working agricultural lands. Using multiple tools and approaches to acquisition, NLT has conserved over 70,000 acres of since 1998.
